Reading group for performing arts critics:
Maintaining a critical practice in times of social distancing
Performing arts critics in the Nordic countries are invited to a reading group to discuss critical practice, texts and performances.
APPLICATION DEADLINE 25th of August 2020
This spring, stages and concert halls have closed due to infection control. Critics have still been writing; about performances, radio plays or concerts disseminated digitally or in public space. However, the collective exchange that is normally part of the performing arts is temporarily put on hold – chances for critics to meet and discuss are few. Following this, we invite critics to explore common reading as a professional strategy – as a critical practice for a time with few artistic expressions to reflect around.
