OPEN CALL: Collective critical writing

Performing Criticism Globally

SØKNADSFRIST TORSDAG 30.SEPTEMBER
APPLICATION DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 30TH
(English below)

Norwegian and international artists, writers and critics within the field of performing arts are invited to apply for participation in a seminar and workshop in Oslo, Norway during the dance festival CODA on 21.-22.October 2021. Applicants may also apply for travel grants, see below. The workshop is led by

Runa Borch Skolseg, Hild Borchgrevink and Anette Therese Pettersen.

In the workshop we will explore ways of collective and critical writing, what kind of space is there for multi-voiced critical writing practice? How can we create spaces for writing critically and ambivalently together?  What does the individual critical writing practice mean in a polyphonic one? And what can the polyphonic mean for an individual critical practice?

It is possible to apply both as an individual and as an already established writing group/collective. Participants accepted for the workshop as part of a collective will, in some of the exercises, be expected to take part in writing exercises with participants outside their group.

We accept applications via email to victoria@pahn.no

Your application should contain a short description of your writing practice as well as a short letter of motivation (max 1 page) of why you would like to participate.

We can offer limited travel support, applicants who also apply for travel support should include information about where they travel from.

Deadline for applications: 30 September 2021.
