On behalf of PAHN and the rest of the partner organizations in Digital Leap, we are happy to announce the participants in the fourth and last module held in Marseille and Aix-en-Provence for Module 4, January 23rd – 29th.
Digital Leap is an international two-year project that offers dance and circus professionals learning opportunities for deepening their understanding of digital environments and their possibilities in performing arts.
In the joint call for artists for the third and fourth Digital Leap learning modules we received more than 80 applications from all partner countries. For the fourth module we welcomed applications from producers working with dance and circus as well. Final selections were made by the partner organizations.
The selected participants had demonstrated clear learning goals in their applications and showed strong motivation to learn more about the topics of the modules. We aimed at selecting participants of different ages and career stages, with enough common ground to ensure mutually fruitful sharing of practices and experience. We strived for a balance between circus and dance artists.
Where: Marseille/ Aix-en-Provence
When: 24 – 28th of January, travel on the 23rd and return 29th
This module focuses on the key topic of audience engagement and development work, while exploring cutting-edge digital formats. Circus and dance workers (artists and producers alike) will discover how to e-meet and engage with their audience, how to better target them, and how to adapt to emerging participative and immersive practices by looking at examples from other artistic fields. The module, which will take place in the frame of BIAC (Biennale internationale des arts du cirque) in Marseille, will also address the topic of audiences from an ethical perspective, by touching upon various aspects of diversity and inclusion.
