We invite you to join us on January 13th, 2025, as we present some of the best performing artist and playwrights from Norway with a dynamic program that includes:
A pitch session featuring 10 selected performing arts companies and projects ready for touring.
A new addition: a dedicated reading session and conversation with three of the country’s most influential playwrights.

FROM IBSEN TO FOSSE - TO NEW VOICES
Readings and presentation of Norwegian playwrights (13 January 1:30 pm – 3:00 PM EST)
1:30 pm - From Ibsen to Fosse to New Voices
Introduction by the acclaimed journalist, author, and literary critic Merve Emre. She will explore the trajectory of Norwegian playwriting, from Henrik Ibsen’s groundbreaking contributions, through Jon Fosse’s distinctive voice, recently honored with the Nobel Prize in Literature, to the rising voices of Fredrik Brattberg and Kathrine Nedrejord.

ABOUT PAHN
Performing Arts Hub Norway (PAHN) is a Norwegian national competence centre promoting professional performing arts domestically and abroad, with a special emphasis on independent performing arts. PAHN functions as a performing arts advisor for The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and manages the Ministry’s travel grant system for Norwegian performing artists performing abroad.
